Grandma Darlene

Natalie and Julian~just being cute...
All of the grandsons were the Pallbearers and I thought that was the perfect choice. I always wonder what it feels like for a Man to be a pallbearer. Definitely, a special feeling but, not really a happy one.
After the service, we all took flowers and set them on the casket. We took many pictures afterwards and I couldn't help but, laugh to think how happy Grandma probably was, to not be torchered by my endless picture taking!
My cousins, Brian, Malinda,
Andrew and Marcia

Me and my handsome brothers....Chris and Greg
If anything, with losing my Grandma it brought us all together. All the cousins, (except Travis, who is on his mission.) were there. What beautiful, caring, young people they each are. I enjoyed each of them so much.
Natie joined me in Utah. I was glad she was wanting to come with me. I needed her so much. It was nice having just 1 kid to keep track of!
Me, Malinda and Marcia...(little did we know, there was actually 4 girls in the this picture! Marcia just found out she is having a GIRL!)
My 3 uncles~Doug, Ray & John, 3 Aunts~Nancy, Janet & Cindy and 1 Mom~Dixie. I couldn't help but, think about my grandparents watching over us and being so happy that we were all together. I know they worried about us losing touch, once they were gone. I'm glad we all talked about not letting that happen.

Julian and Hailee getting to know each other. Hailee enjoyed tasting Julian and wanted to get as close as she could to him.
Natalie loved helping and
always had opened arms.

You will be missed deeply...

I have no real good words to describe how
I am feeling right now....
sadness, shock, disbelief are just a few....
Life will not be the same without you...
You will be missed more than you could ever imagine...
I am so thankful for the time I had with you,
just 7 short weeks ago..
Thank you for all your kind words, advice, thoughtfulness, generousity, lectures about religion :o), humor, laughter, love, and for just being my friend...
An unbelieveable woman you are and I will be forever grateful that I had you as long as I did and that my children not only got to meet you, know you, love you but, they had a relationship with you.....they got to know and love the woman, that I love so very much....my heart will never be the same...thank you for being so good to me and thank you for being so wonderful to all of your family. You are an inspiration to us all...

Labor Day camping

Labor day weekend camping... It was a little HOT when we arrived.....103 on the drive up! I was worried. Camping in the HEAT=no FUN!
But, we stayed and played Play doh in the shade and
sat around and did NOTHING!

We found this strange worm in a log, we were about to burn. It was actually a pretty gross looking thing.
I want to be carried like that,,,,although, he'd probably never walk again!

We found a "river" to play in with sand, dirt and plenty of GERMS~I'm sure!
The kids had a great time, in the Green water though.
They were covered in sand.....you can't really tell in this picture though. They love to play in it but, once they are done, they are done....and then they want it all the sand off of them..5 minutes ago!

Surprise ATTACK, of silly string!
A nice swing Daryle made for the kids, that was fun but, caused nothing but, FIGHTS & arguements! It came down.
Pancakes in a whip cream CAN! Who knew! They were pretty good, actually!
Smore's time!

Waiting to head home.....video games always come in handy!
All of us! Till next time.......... :o)
